The chamber is obviously for hosting guests and events. There is a large staircase leading up to another level. Including the staircase the room is 50’ deep and 35’ wide with a 40’ ceiling. Large but not overdone, the room looks like it was a welcoming place before the smell of rotting flesh filled the air. There are two long tables in the middle of the room where it appears guests were served and a raised platform held a sturdy large table where the lord must have hosted his honored guests and received those requesting an audience. There is also a large fire pit with the remaining logs of a long ago extinguished fire.
Nearest the main doors there is a young man’s body. His back appears clawed open and his outstretched hand is clutching something within. Two young women are splayed open near the fire pit and an older woman’s body lays ripped apart on the stairs. There is a well-dressed man slumped in his chair behind the sturdy table on the raised platform. Near the door for the service room lay three bodies in a heap. Blood streaks the room in different patches.
The ceiling area is dark but you can faintly make out open beams crisscrossing the room with a rather large chandelier of thick metal strung from a chain perhaps. The beams cross 7 to 10 feet below the ceiling in a structure built to allow for hanging ornamentation and holding the structure up.
